"Lightly-cooked rhubarb, red raspberry, and blood orange; smoked meat; sandalwood and coffee combine for a flattering nose in the Mugneret 2007 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Chaignots as well as on a juicy palate of surprising invigoration for its vintage, featuring well-integrated tartness as well as tannins. There is somehow a sense of seamless sweetness to the long finish here, with the fruit acids acting like pulsing sources of energy rather than creating any sense of sweet-sour bifurcation."
