"The 2007 les Cailles is a very lovely and perfumed example of the vintage that will offer superb drinking with a few more years of bottle age. The bouquet is deep and classy, as it offers up scents of black cherries, red plums, gamebirds, a lovely base of soil tones, espresso, woodsmoke and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and moderately tannic, with a fine, sappy core of fruit, lovely complexity and fine length and grip on the tangy finish."
