"A relatively expressive and airy if not especially refined nose features notes of red and black pinot fruit plus obvious and pungent earth aromas where this earthy character also suffuses the rich, deep and powerful flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration that almost render the firm tannins invisible. The overall character here is very Pommard and this will age for decades so buy this only with the fortitude to allow for a good long snooze in the cellar because it's going to need it."
