"The dark plum-hued 2006 Pinot Noir Spring Mountain exhibits plenty of forest floor, blueberry, raspberry, underbrush, and spring flower characteristics as well as a lovely, broad, round, Burgundian style with earth and cola notes. My favorite of this duo is the old vine field blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignan, and probably a few other things thrown in by the Italian immigrants who first planted the vineyard."
