"This is a very classy and racy example of village Nuits, and is clearly a wine that will offer as profound a value in this vintage as is likely to be found in the CĂ´te de Nuits. The nose is deep, extremely fresh and focused, as it offers up notes of red berries, cherries, blood orange, lovely minerality, coffee beans and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, racy and very transparent, with excellent focus, tangy acids and moderate tannins on the long, complex and tangy finish. A most impressive bottle that augured very well for the 2006 premier crus awaiting in the cellar."
