"... It delivers a complex bouquet of apples, pears, lemon, a touch of fresh herbs, soil and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, pure and decidedly more reserved in style than the Chassagne villages, with a lovely core of fruit, good acids and fine length and grip on the complex finish."

Chassagne-Montrachet is a village AOC in Burgundy's Cote de Beaune with numerous Premier Crus, renowned above all for rich, nutty, mineral Chardonnay whites, though it also makes firm Pinot Noir reds.
