"A strikingly elegant nose of subtle wood and beautifully complex white flower and spice notes gives way to thick, intense and opulent full-bodied flavors that coat and stain the palate with dry extract. This is a powerful wine, even by the considerable standards of Les Clos yet there is minerality and length to burn and while the oak is hardly invisible, the concentration allows it to carry the wood without effort. A terrific effort and one to look at closely."
