97 RP "The dense purple-colored 2004 Shiraz Oracle ratchets up the fruit and glycerin levels, yet remains pure, elegant, and well-balanced. It offers beautiful aromas of blueberries, blackberries, acacia flowers, and spicy oak. Full-bodied, powerful, cleanly textured, long, and heady, I would not be surprised to see it evolve for 15-20 years." 97 WA Very deep garnet-black. Tons of warm blackberry and cassis aromas with a wonderful undercurrent of fragrant cinnamon and clove spices. The palate is rich, full bodied and concentrated with some savoury marmite and yeast flavours. Medium+ velvety tannins and medium+ acidity. Long fruity finish...

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
