"The 2004 Quincha Corral is 96% Bobal and 4% Syrah aged for 20 months in French oak. The Bobal for this cuvee comes from 90+-year-old vines. Purple/black in color, its nose is more muted but reveals attractive pain grille, plum, and blueberry aromas. This is followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with ripe, spicy, layered flavors, excellent balance, and a lengthy finish."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
