"A heady bouquet of peach, buddleia, musk, and brown spices rises from the glass of 2005 Riesling Muenchberg. In the mouth, musky florality persists along with rich peach, honey, and offsetting grapefruit rind bitterness and peppery pungency, in a waxy matrix. A spicy, herbal, honeyed, peachy finish is shot through with vivacious citricity and pungent, peppery, ore-like minerality reminiscent of similarly ancient volcanic terroir in the Wachau. This should keep on improving . . ."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Sheltered by the Vosges mountains, Alsace produces aromatic, mostly dry varietal whites - Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris - of exceptional purity and ageability.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
