95 JCL "Complex and layered with flavors of mixed nuts, white flowers and stone fruit. A balanced Chardonnay at its peak with wonderful detail and finesse. While the wine is ripe, there is no heaviness or weight. A wine that will clearly age and evolve further though it is a beautiful drink now." 93 WA "The 2009 Chardonnay La Carriere emerges from the glass with layers of mineral-infused fruit. There is a saline note woven throughout the fruit that adds considerable freshness, verve and cut. White flowers, lemon and spices frame the long finish. I very much like the energy here."
