"The 2012 Proprietary Red Blend Pickett Road is an intriguing blend of 44% Petit Verdot, 28% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc. This is a big, muscular, somewhat masculine style of wine with a dense ruby/purple color, elevated tannins (blame that on the Petit Verdot) and a distinct earthiness, which no doubt is part of the Calistoga AVA."
