"Good full red. Redcurrant and licorice on the nose, along with the musky oak quality shown by virtually all of these 2006s today. Fat and pliant, with enticing sweetness to its flavors of red fruits, brown spices and truffle. The sweet, tongue-dusting tannins arrive late, allowing the fruit to open nicely and carry well. Began a bit lacking in lift but seemed to gain in grip as it opened in the glass."

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
