"lovely, with a captivating red fruit nose of cherry, raspberry, coffee, duck, vinesmoke, minerals, violets and a fine base of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine was medium-full, poised and complex, with good attack, a juicy, succulent core of fruit, and really lovely depth and grip on the back end. The finish was long, complex and modestly tannic, with the vintage’s tangy acids giving the wine lovely juiciness and bounce."
