"The 2007 Syrah Cinematique from the outstanding Larner Vineyard was cropped at less than two tons of fruit per acre, and was aged in one-third new French oak. It exhibits Burgundian-like sensitivities in its raspberry, cherry, and blueberry scents interwoven with notions of spring flowers and earth. Inky/purple-tinged, full-bodied, pure, and dense, but light on its feet, with unmistakable minerality . . ."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
