"Pineapple, mandarin orange and apple pit aromas. This manages uncannily to do just what Jost said he intended: capture the exceptional richness of the vintage in a nearly dry wine and yet preserve a sense of buoyancy, refinement and elegance. "Granted," he observes, "a wine with 11% alcohol would not ordinarily count as light, but one must consider the context of this vintage. " Ripe fruit, creamy texture, and brothy, rich mineral expression on the palate without a sense of weight are followed by subtle flowers, orchard fruits and wet stone in a long and enticing finish. In this stony middle portion of the Hahn, the crop was reduced to one cluster per shoot and the vines drip-irrigated. . . .2 stars."

The spiritual home of Riesling, producing wines of piercing acidity, precision and longevity across a spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. Cool, steep-sloped vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine yield some of the world's most delicate, long-lived whites.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
