Her vines her are fifty years of age, and they have produced a stellar 2006, that delivers a potpourri of blood orange, cherries, red plums, cocoa powder, dusty rose, lovely minerality and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is medium-full, tangy and very, very long, with fine-grained tannins, bright acids and beautiful focus and grip on the moderately tannic, peacock’s tail of a finish. Another beautiful bottle on the way. Choosing between this and the Echézeaux over the next twenty to thirty years could be a very pleasurable debate."
