"The opaque dark ruby/purple-colored 1994 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits a fabulous nose of sweet, jammy, black-cherries, raspberries, smoke, and a vague hint of licorice and Provencal herbs. Full-bodied, with excellent concentration, power, and a sweet, expansive, chewy mid-palate, this is an outstanding example of Chateauneuf du Pape from what continues to be the most underrated great estate of the appellation."
