"Still quite deeply colored. An expressive nose offering fine complexity displays plenty of obvious secondary aromas that are nuanced by notes of sous bois, earth, game, smoke and spice plus a distinct animale character. The equally complex flavors are intense, round, rich, concentrated and powerful with an ever-so-slightly firm edge to the otherwise long and mildly austere finish . . . . overall the Grivot Riche is drinking well now and should continue to hold if not improve for another decade, perhaps longer."
