"It seems kind of silly to be criticizing a vintage of Bourgogne rouge for being too fruit-driven . . . by Monsieur Coche’s high standards for this little respected appellation. The bouquet offers up a beautiful fruit blend of red cherries, blood orange, raw cocoa and rose petals. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, bright and succulent, with tangy acidity, captivating fruit tones and a long, bouncy finish . . . . this is good juice for its category."
