"(55% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot and 5% petit verdot; 28.8 g/l dry extract; 12.9% alcohol): Medium-deep red with a hint of garnet at the rim. Fresh aromas of strawberry, blackcurrant, almond flower and Oriental herbs. Sweet, suave and dense, with precise flavors of cassis and minerals complicated by an attractive floral touch. Finishes very smooth and long, with a lovely spicy kick. A very classic Margaux, and an extremely seductive, successful Giscours. It will last another 20 years without problems."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
The world's largest fine-wine region, built around blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Divided by the Gironde estuary into the structured Left Bank and the plush, Merlot-led Right Bank, it is the historic benchmark for age-worthy claret and sweet Sauternes.
The Left Bank appellation prized for perfumed, silky and elegant Cabernet-based wines. Gravel soils yield claret of aromatic finesse and refinement.
Chateau Giscours is a Third Growth estate in Margaux, Bordeaux, producing full-bodied, structured Cabernet-dominated wines from its large gravel-rich vineyard at Labarde.
