"A truly great Chardonnay, this 2005 reminds me of a fabulous Corton-Charlemagne from Coche-Dury. It reveals a greenish tint to its light straw color as well as a layered, honeyed nose dominated by scents of orange blossoms, white currants, lemon curd, green apple skins and a hint of hazelnuts. The oak influence is extremely subtle, and the wine possesses fabulous intensity and vibrant acidity, delineation and brightness."
