"The 2004 Syrah Hilltops Estate is an 800-case cuvee fashioned from the winery’s finest parcels. Thirty percent of this wine is aged on the lees of Roussanne for eight months to give it a more floral character, resulting in a complex, exotic, full-bodied, dense purple-colored Syrah offering beautiful notes of blackberries, blueberries, cassis, licorice, and pepper. It exhibits a seamless palate, a full-bodied opulence, and wonderful purity as well as length."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
