"The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label (74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 9% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot) is even younger. Dense purple, with hints of pen ink, melted chocolate, creme de cassis, and some background oak and roasted herbs, this wine has great fruit in the attack and mid-palate, an inky, full-bodied, concentrated mouthfeel, and substantial muscle and tannins in the finish. Still an infant at age 10, it needs another 5 or so years of bottle age and should keep a quarter of a century beyond that."
