91 JG "The 2006 Villy-Lamartine bottling is excellent, and one of my favorites in the cellar amongst this stellar line up of Mâconnais wines. This village is located in the south of the Mâconnais (not far from the best village in Pouilly-Fuissé, Vergisson) at higher elevation and is all planted on terres blanches soils. The result in 2006 is a stellar bottle of wine, that jumps from the glass in a mineral bath of peach, spring flowers, orange zest and a great base of stoniness. On the palate the wine is medium-full and very deep, with great soil inflection, snappy acids and great grip on the very long and beautifully focused finish. A terrific bottle of Mâcon."
