"Ruby-red. Absolutely enthralling aromas of smoked meat, blackberry and black cherry liqueur, pungent violet and dried rose florality, and sexy oak spices. Lush, rich and powerful on the palate, with ripe, sweet boysenberry and blackberry flavors that expand across the entire palate. Highly concentrated and rich, but given excellent focus by bright acidity. This has the flavor intensity and complexity of wines costing four or five times as much."

Renowned for powerful, richly fruited Shiraz, most famously from the Barossa Valley, alongside age-worthy Cabernet and cool-climate whites. A warm climate and old, ungrafted vines produce wines of generosity and depth.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
