"Good dark red. Aromas of black cherry, cassis and dark chocolate reminded me of a bit of cabernet. Suave, fine-grained and intense, offering lovely inner-mouth violet and licorice lift to its dark fruit flavors. Finishes with a firm spine of building tannins and noteworthy persistence. Quite closed today, even a bit tough for Chambolle, and in need of a couple years in bottle to harmonize."
