"This wine's (100% Syrah) malolactic fermentation took place in new oak casks. Made from yields of 12 hectoliters per hectare, it is a sexy, exotic, black purple-colored wine offering up gobs of jammy black fruits with a touch of prunes and black berries in the background. Some subtle pain grille is also noticeable. The wine is fleshy and fat, with copious amounts of glycerin and extract in its plump, chewy personality."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
