"One of the most interesting whites I tasted this year, Philippe Melka's 2011 Sauvignon La Mekerra Vineyard is striking for the way it combines intense minerality and loads of varietal character, all with notable grace. Lime, lychee, mint, white flowers and mango are woven together in this utterly impeccable white. I can't wait to taste the 2011 once it is in bottle, but it is showing great today. The 2011 saw a dollop of Muscadelle and was aged in 100% new oak barrels."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
An aromatic red grape lending perfume, red fruit and a leafy, savory edge. It thrives in the Loire and as a key blending partner in Bordeaux, especially Saint-Emilion.
Produces plush, supple, fruit-forward reds with plum and chocolate notes. Softer and earlier-maturing than Cabernet, it adds flesh and roundness to blends and stars in Right Bank Bordeaux.
