91 WA "The 2010 Gran Cabernet Franc spent 21 months in new French oak. With a pungent green bell pepper nose that stays true to the varietal, it is more Loire-like in style than New World. The palate is well-balanced with crisp, grainy tannins and loaded spice box and white pepper sprinkled all over the peppery dark fruit. This is not a Cabernet Franc for those looking for a hedonistic wine, but it has loads of personality, is prudently made and expresses Cabernet Franc without compromise."

An aromatic red grape lending perfume, red fruit and a leafy, savory edge. It thrives in the Loire and as a key blending partner in Bordeaux, especially Saint-Emilion.
