"(aged for 20 months in French oak; 15% alcohol): Inky violet color. Explosively perfumed aromas of black and blue fruits, cola and sandalwood, with licorice and floral accents and a touch of cracked pepper. Sweet, penetrating black cherry and boysenberry flavors are lifted by gentle acidity and an intensely spicy character. Smooth and broad on the finish, which clings with impressive tenacity and alluring floral notes."

Spain's noble red grape, producing structured, savory wines of red fruit and leather that respond beautifully to oak aging in Rioja and Ribera del Duero.
