"The nose is deep, pure and quite sappy in its mélange of black cherries, espresso, game, woodsmoke and a lovely base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a fine core, lovely focus, fine-grained tannins and fine length and grip on the tangy and soil-driven finish. This will clearly be a superb village wine."

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
