"The 2009 Sous la Velle bottling from Anne Boisson is a more elegant and accessible example of the vintage right out of the blocks, but not without its own structural integrity and lovely spine of acidity. The very refined bouquet jumps from the glass in a blend of apples, passion fruit, almonds, apple blossoms, a lovely and complex base of soil and just a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very suave on the attack, with fine mid-palate depth, impeccable focus and balance and great backend cut and grip. The finish is long, snappy and beautifully delineated. It will be delicious from release, but should have no problem aging gracefully a couple of decades . . ."
