"The Diel 2010 Dorsheimer Burgberg Riesling Grosses Gewachs displays a saline, saliva-inducing savor such as one often associates with quartzite-rich soils, and that goes beyond the appeal of its immediate siblings. Fusil, smoky, and chalky notes add to a Chablis-like sense of liquid mineral yet this is also generously peachy and subtly herbal, finishing with resonant, vibratory interaction of fruit and stone. There is a greater sense of richness yet no less energy here than in any of its immediate siblings, and I can well imagine a decade of delicious distinction."

The spiritual home of Riesling, producing wines of piercing acidity, precision and longevity across a spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. Cool, steep-sloped vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine yield some of the world's most delicate, long-lived whites.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
