"The 2012 Saumur Champigny Terres Chaudes is a low-yielding (35 hectoliters per hectare) floral, spicy Cab Franc from 40-year-old vines. Fermented with 30% whole bunches in concrete tanks and aged in 600- and 1200-liter barrels . . . . the wine is lovely authentic and fresh with a rather robust character and a good fruit core of meaty cherries and black fruit aromas, plus a medium body with a good, floral-scented length."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
An aromatic red grape lending perfume, red fruit and a leafy, savory edge. It thrives in the Loire and as a key blending partner in Bordeaux, especially Saint-Emilion.
