"Golden colored with orange reflections, the 2013 Herzog Rieslaner Beerenauslese opens with a fabulous intense and ripe fruit aroma recalling a tart with yellow stone fruits and caramel, but also flavors of grapefruit, mushrooms and crushed stones. Bottled with 7.5% alcohol the BA . . . is sweet, rich and sensually juicy, but full of finesse and a penetrating piquancy. The finish is clean and pure, very intense and stimulating. An impressively delicate but also intense Beerenauslese that is a dessert on its own."
