"The 2008 Lafon Perrières will be a stellar example of the vintage. The nose is very deep and very reticent (as a young Perrières should be in a top vintage), but with a bit of coaxing offers up a complex blend of grapefruit, orange, apple, spring flowers, citrus zest and kaleidoscopic minerality. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tightly-wound, with a rock solid core of fruit, brisk acids, laser-like focus and stunning length and grip on the youthful and racy finish. A great wine in the making."
