91 FM "Medium ruby-garnet, ocher at the rim. Intense wood spice, sweet dark berry fruit, candied orange zest. Sweet, powerful, prominent, well integrated tannins, juicy with good length, an extract-rich sweetish finish, some dark chocolate in the finish - would prove especially harmonious with food." 90 ST "Full red-ruby. Crystallized redcurrant, licorice, shoe polish, smoky oak and menthol on the nose. Dense, lush and sweet, but ultimately a Dominus of moderate size and scale. Fruit-driven flavors of redcurrant, black cherry and tobacco, with a hint of fresh herbs. Finishes with firm but fine tannins and a slight medicinal austerity. A stylish, rather Pauillac-like wine with lovely clarity of flavor."

Yountville is a sub-AVA in central Napa Valley, California, producing balanced, structured Cabernet Sauvignon of ripe dark fruit and firm yet refined tannins, blending power with elegance.
Dominus Estate is Christian Moueix's Napa Valley property centered on the historic Napanook vineyard in Yountville, producing a structured, Bordeaux-styled Cabernet-dominated red (with Napanook as its second wine).
An aromatic red grape lending perfume, red fruit and a leafy, savory edge. It thrives in the Loire and as a key blending partner in Bordeaux, especially Saint-Emilion.
The world's most planted premium red grape, yielding deeply colored, tannic and structured wines with cassis, cedar and graphite notes. Firm tannins and acidity make it exceptionally age-worthy, whether as a varietal or the backbone of a Bordeaux blend.
Produces plush, supple, fruit-forward reds with plum and chocolate notes. Softer and earlier-maturing than Cabernet, it adds flesh and roundness to blends and stars in Right Bank Bordeaux.
A deeply colored, tannic Bordeaux blending grape adding color, structure and floral, spicy complexity in small proportions.
