"The 2009 Amarone della Valpolicella is explosive from the outset. Dark red cherries, plums, mocha, cloves and leather jump from the glass. Exuberant, rich and layered, the 2009 is just as beautiful today as it was last year. The 2009 is obviously very young, but it is drinking exceptionally well just the same. There is so much to like here."
