"Medium ruby. Deeper, riper, aromatic nose dominated by cherry and licorice. Broad, supple and very ripe, with lovely harmonious acidity giving shape to the creamy yet delicate flavors. A much easier style than the San Martin, but still firmly mineral underneath. Finishes with big, broad, ripe, toothcoating tannins."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
