"Beautifully pure and delicate on the nose, with herbal and dried stone fruit aromas along with honey and chamomile flavors, the 1990 Rauenthaler Wulfen Riesling SpÀtlese is an elegant, intense, velvety textured Riesling. It has power, grippy tannins and juicy fruit. The finish at least of this bottling is slightly austere, but I'd definitely buy another bottle to check this out. This wasn't available during our tasting, but the wine is still on the sales list. It was bottled with 11% alcohol and less than 30 grams of residual sugar. That's why it tastes virtually dry."

A historic Riesling region along the Rhine, producing racier, often drier wines of structure and mineral depth from south-facing slopes.
A highly aromatic white of piercing acidity and transparency to terroir, ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet. It ages remarkably and is the noble grape of Germany and Alsace.
