". . . the 2011 Pruliers from Domaine Gouges is really quite stunning, as it jumps from the glass in a complex nose of red and dark berries, black cherries, lovely minerality, espresso, woodsmoke and violets. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and delivers outstanding mid-palate depth, with the minerality of the nose carrying through in the mouth. The finish is very long, ripely tannic and beautifully transparent. There is a refinement here that (at least in my experience) is very rare in young Pruliers!"

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
