"Lioco's 2013 Chardonnay Demuth Vineyard is wonderfully vivid, nuanced and detailed with persistent minerality that is almost Riesling-like in its expression. The flavors are layered and intensely saline throughout, but what comes through is a mountain Chardonnay with a real sense of phenolic structure underpinning the fruit. Exotic, wild and alluring at the same time, the 2013 is a brilliant Chardonnay to drink over the next handful of years. This parcel is Wente clone Chardonnay planted on AxR1 rootstock."
