"Unfortunately, this winery is no longer making wine. But readers who may have a few bottles of their 1978 squirreled away are in for a real treat. The color is a deep, saturated dark ruby with little signs of age. As for the nose, it offers super-ripe aromas of cassis, herbs, damp earth, and smoky oak. This youthful, full-bodied wine exhibits fine richness, an opulent, chewy texture, and a long, spicy, moderately tannic finish. Approachable, even delicious, this wine should continue to evolve. Impressive!"
