"13% alcohol. Bright, fresh medium ruby. Aromas of blackcurrant, mocha, licorice, spices and espresso are complicated but not overwhelmed by a sexy leathery funkiness. Fine-grained and sweet, conveying an impression of thickness without weight. Flavors of blackberry, mulberry, licorice, leather and herbs are framed and intensified by harmonious ripe acidity. The very long finish features a wild Old World rusticity, along with superb clarity and lift. Really superb wine with a deep sweetness."
