"Good full red. Extremely backward but vibrant nose hints at raspberry, bitter cherry, mace and dried flowers. Gripping, sharply delineated and wonderfully light on its feet, with bitter cherry, dried flowers and spices dominating the palate. Offers outstanding focus through the very long, rising, classy finish, which stimulates the palate with a note of blood orange. A beauty, and a great expression of sangiovese from a top site, but not for drinking anytime soon."

Italy grows more indigenous grape varieties than any other country and produces wine in all 20 of its regions. From Piedmont's Nebbiolo to Tuscany's Sangiovese, its finest wines pair structure and bright acidity with a strong sense of place.
The heartland of Sangiovese, producing Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and the Cabernet-influenced 'Super Tuscans' of the coast. Its wines balance bright acidity, savory structure and cellar-worthiness.
A powerful, age-worthy Sangiovese from the warm hills of Montalcino, requiring extended aging and prized for depth and longevity.
Tuscany's signature red, giving high-acid, savory wines of sour cherry, herbs and firm tannin. It is the backbone of Chianti, Brunello and many Super Tuscans.
