90
90 ST "Good pale color. Highly scented, carnal nose of orange, honey, butter and smoke. Round, lush and deep, with lively acids contributing to the impression of power. Spicy and palate-staining on the back end, still a bit youthfully aggressive. Not especially sweet at 13 r.s., and not at all heavy. This is from argilo-calcaire soil and a S/SW exposition, while the Geisberg is south-facing, on rockier soil."

The world's most influential fine-wine producer and the benchmark for Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhone. Its appellation (AOC) system codifies geography, grape and method, and its wines set the global standard for age-worthiness and terroir expression.
Sheltered by the Vosges mountains, Alsace produces aromatic, mostly dry varietal whites - Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris - of exceptional purity and ageability.
