"Incorporating 1% Viognier and aged in 30% new French oak, the 2012 Syrah Larner Vineyard is a beauty! Showing the rounded, supple and approachable style on the 2012 vintage, it has terrific purity and freshness in its sweet cassis and dark fruits, meatiness, graphite and curing spice-like bouquet. Charming, forward, balanced and elegant, it still has sweet tannin on the finish and this superb Santa Barbara County Syrah will drink nicely over the coming decade. The elevage here is 25% whole clusters and 22 months in 30% new French oak."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
