"(Vinified with 60% whole clusters and aged in 30% new oak): Bright purple. Highly expressive aromas of dark berry liqueur, licorice, smoky minerals and violet; this smells like Hermitage. Lush, deep and surprisingly animated, offering intense blackberry and cassis flavors with a sexy floral pastille nuance. Finishes sweet, sappy and long, with building tannins and lingering spiciness and minerality. Wow!"

Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
