"Deeper and richer, the 2011 Syrah Verna's Vineyard, which was fermented with 70% whole cluster, shows a more masculine, gamey profile with layers of mineral-tinged red fruit, charcoal, pepper and hints of crushed flowers to go with a medium-bodied, polished and elegant mouthfeel. Really showing the vintage, it should be extremely long-lived . . ."

The fourth-largest wine producer in the world, led by California. American fine wine is defined by ripe, expressive fruit and a spirit of innovation, with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon among the most sought-after wines globally.
Syrah (Shiraz) produces dark, powerful reds with black fruit, pepper and smoked-meat notes. It yields elegant, perfumed wines in the northern Rhone and bold, rich styles in Australia.
